The short cut to increasing my compassion for another is looking at the world through their eyes. Literally.
Looking at photos of my son reminds me of my love for him. Looking at pictures he has taken change everything. They remind me how small he is. How enormous the world is. How confusing adults are. How big his hopes are. How small his world is.
Photo-sharing has enormous potential to show us all how alike we really are. How big the problems really are that others face. Photos don’t tell THE truth they tell our truth. And that is immensely powerful.
